This forum provided an incredible platform for exchanging ideas, forming collaborations, and working toward a shared vision of a prosperous, integrated, and peaceful Africa. In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the glorious November 1st Revolution and on the occasion of Algeria hosting the 4th Pan-African Youth Forum, the leaders of delegations participating in the forum recently oversaw the planting of 55 saplings in the Algeria Pavilion at the Mediterranean Village in the Wilaya of Oran. Today, Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Oran 2 University hosted a delegation from the African Union Commission participating in the activities of the 4th Pan-African Youth Forum. The visit was attended by the university’s president and the Deputy Director of Student Life at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Representatives of the African Union delivered presentations highlighting international job opportunities available within various African organizations and institutions, along with the qualifications and skills needed for such roles. Workshops and Parallel Sessions on the Sidelines of the Pan-African Youth Forum: The fourth edition of the Pan-African Youth Forum featured parallel sessions in the form of workshops, bringing together young participants from various African countries to discuss topics crucial to the present and future of youth in fields such as technology, education, and the implementation of the African Union’s agenda. In a gesture honoring Algeria’s history, the workshops were named after Algerian martyrs, including Jamila Bouhired, Mustapha Ben Boula?d, Larbi Ben M’hidi, and Jamila Boupacha. Algeria Joins the African Union Initiative “1 Million Next Level” to Create Job Opportunities and Training for African Youth: During the morning session of the second day of the Pan-African Youth Forum, a high-level panel discussion took place, focusing on this year’s theme as well as the “1 Million Next Level” initiative. The session concluded with Algeria signing a pledge with the African Union to support the initiative aimed at reaching 300 million young people and equipping them with opportunities by 2030. This session also marked the launch of the “Achievement Cards” initiative, designed to monitor the initiative’s goals through over 30 sustainable development indicators.
