This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the groundbreaking women who inspire us—leaders, innovators, and changemakers. One of those remarkable women is?Linda Pavlik, founder of Pavlik and Associates. A Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist turned trailblazing entrepreneur, Linda has spent over four decades shaping public engagement and communications in North Texas. From rebranding?Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to leading public relations for?ExxonMobil in the Barnett Shale and driving consensus for the?North Central Texas Council of Governments' high-speed rail project, Linda’s impact is undeniable. Her leadership has been widely recognized, including recognition by?Fort Worth INC. as one of the city’s most influential people. She is a dedicated supporter of local nonprofits and chambers of commerce. “Leadership is about breaking down traditional barriers and improving the lives of those around you,” says Linda. “By engaging with historically underserved or overlooked communities, we create a better future for everyone.” Today, we honor Linda and all the women leading the way toward a more inclusive and innovative world. #InternationalWomensDay #Leadership #WomenInBusiness

Earlier this week, the Fort Worth City Council voted unanimously to support Crescendo Development's rezoning of the former 150-acre Woodhaven golf course in East Fort Worth. The public engagement process started nearly a year ago, with most of the neighborhood apprehensive of change after being burned by previous owners. Over 500 neighbors were engaged through multiple community-wide gatherings, dozens of neighborhood group meetings, countless one-on-one conversations, and a new company website. By developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement strategy, the community wholeheartedly bought into the plan. 50 neighbors, all wearing green to show their support, sacrificed their Tuesday night to attend the City Council hearing and see the zoning case over the finish line. Turning skeptics into supporters doesn't happen overnight, and it's a testament to the importance of collaborating with the client to meaningfully integrate community input into the final product. Congratulations to Will Northern, CCIM on this wonderful milestone. We're far from finished, but this is the first major step toward a brighter future for Woodhaven! ?? I had a wonderful time at yesterday's transportation panel hosted by the Fort Worth Report. The panel discussed many of the transformational projects I have the pleasure of working on, including the City of Fort Worth Master Transportation Plan, the North Central Texas Council of Governments High-Speed Rail Study, and the Trinity Metro TEXRail Extension. A big thank you to Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, Arlington Mayor Jim Ross, Trinity Metro President & CEO Rich Andreski, and NCTCOG Transportation Director Michael Morris for their wonderful input. The future is bright for #transportation in Tarrant County! If you weren't able to attend, the Fort Worth Report published a great recap of the event: https://lnkd.in/gBsqXAHM
