As I created this content, I was reminded of my childhood. Storytime : : : : : : : : : : Growing up, I was a bundle of talents. I could act, dance, sing soulfully, and even dabble in songwriting. Crafts fascinated me, sports kept me active, and deep down, I had a strong urge to stand up for those who couldn’t, having faced my own share of bullies. My aunt called me her “Genevieve,” convinced I’d make a great actress. But I saw myself as a singer; I sang my heart out everywhere I went. I even joined my school carol choir and also a dance group called the “Steppers” Yes,?? I enjoyed salsa sessions. (good old days) With so many artistic talents, it was right for me join the art class in secondary school. But when university came around, my mom convinced me to study law. She thought it would be a perfect fit since I always felt the need to defend others and honestly, she’d always dreamed of having a child who was a lawyer. But law? It never excited me; it felt boring from a distance, and that feeling hasn’t changed. Even as I write this, I feel that same confusion and worry of those days Today, I’m grateful that through PaveHQ I get to channel my creativity as a content writer and creator to connect with young learners. I can advocate for the career guidance I wish I’d had, especially for those of us with multiple talents and passions. I genuinely wish parents could see the world through their kids’ eyes and support them in discovering their true paths with tools like psychometric tests and career counseling.
