Patriot Maritime is a leading maritime contractor to the U.S. Government, managing and operating vessels. PCS currently manages three Ready Reserve Force (RRF) ships for the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD); eight Watson class Large Medium Speed RO-RO vessels for the United States Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC); one special mission ship for MSC; and a shallow draft tanker for Schuyler Line Navigation Company. PCS also provides crew-members for vessels operated by Kwajalein Range Services and other ship operators. PCS has managed a wide range of vessel types for MARAD and MSC, including RO-RO vessels, LASH vessels, and general cargo vessels, powered by steam propulsion, slow speed diesels, medium speed diesels, and gas turbines. PCS maintains a network of highly experienced mariners and vessel managers who are capable of skillfully operating a wide range of vessels used for both rapid military support and active special military operations. PCS has a conducted over 40 on-time vessel activation's for the US Government fleets. These activation's often occur with no advance notice, to test PCS’s ability to respond rapidly to the needs of the US Military. In each case we leveraged our experience, skilled staff, effective work processes and efficient structure to fulfill all commitments and requirements and ensure that the vessels were ready for full operations in the allotted time. PCS's methodology for ship operations is based on the international model for ship management. This model is founded upon a qualified well-trained shipboard management team and crew. This professional, sea-going cadre is supported by a core team of shore side professionals dedicated to a specific group or fleet of ships, which in turn is supported by a well-trained, experienced administrative staff and sophisticated information technology systems.

Patriot Maritime Facilitates Lifeboat Donation for Maritime Training Patriot Maritime has played a key role in facilitating the donation of an enclosed motor lifeboat from the M/V Cape Horn to Clatsop Community College’s (CCC) Maritime Science Department. This generous contribution, made possible through the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD), will be instrumental in training the next generation of seafarers. With recent U.S. Coast Guard regulations requiring motor lifeboat operation training, this donation ensures that CCC students receive essential hands-on experience. The lifeboat’s journey to the college’s MERTS campus in Astoria was no small feat, made possible through the collaborative efforts of various maritime partners. We are especially grateful to the crew of the M/V Cape Horn, including Port Engineer Tom Preston, James Dyer, and Program Manager Chris Sterling, for their contributions to this initiative. This effort highlights the strength of industry partnerships and our shared commitment to maritime education and safety. We wish Clatsop Community College great success in their mission to train future mariners, and we are honored to support such an impactful cause. Patriot Maritime held its semi-annual Technical Conference from November 19–21, 2024, with the theme Growth-Opportunity-Transformation. The event brought together a diverse group, including Mark Handin, President; Boriana Farrar, Vice President and Chief Legal Officer; Cindy Kumar, Chief Financial Officer; departmental leadership; third-party vendors; and representatives from regulatory bodies. Attendees participated in insightful presentations and discussions, fostering collaboration and innovation. A group photo was taken by the picturesque waterfront at the Hilton Clear Lake Hotel, highlighting the conference’s dynamic and forward-looking atmosphere.
