The treatment landscape for atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions has advanced rapidly in recent years. We went from topical steroids to biologics and JAK inhibitors, both topical and oral. So where does this leave primary care physicians treating their patients with dermatitis? Our editors at Patient Care Online sat down with Dr. Brian S. Kim at AAD 2025 to discuss advances in the space, and he said that PCPs should not hesitate to prescribe some of these new treatments, emphasizing that the safety profile and ease of use makes them good candidates for PCPs to prescribe.
