Strategy Consultant | Fractional Sales and Operations Leader

One year ago I decided to take a "little break" from full-time employment. I had no plan and no expectations for what would come next. I did have two goals - 1) Enjoy the holidays with my family free of work stress and distractions, and 2) Put my energy and focus into activities I wanted to do rather than things I felt I had to do. Mission Accomplished, and now I'm going to shamelessly plug the catalyst that set me on this career-and-life-changing path... 2.5 years ago I enrolled in the Pathwise Leadership "Leader" program. Early on I realized that the personal and professional growth I achieved and was proud of over the first 10+ years of my career was shockingly surface-level. The profound self-awareness, presence, and new skills I now bring to high-stress, complex situations have redefined my approach to leadership, and relationships in general. As a strategy consultant, these insights are invaluable. Pathwise has equipped me with an understanding of concepts like Participant Observation to swiftly diagnose my clients' needs with empathy and precision. And an ability to identify and navigate individual personalities and corporate archetypes to achieve best outcomes. I don't rely on frameworks, recycled playbooks and past experience; instead, I can craft solutions that are as unique as each client. Pathwise hasn't just refined my skills; it’s transformed the way I approach my work and has empowered me to make a lasting impact on every client I serve. And most importantly, I enjoy doing it. #PathwiseLeader #Leadership?

Our cognitive development doesn't necessarily stop in childhood. While we often believe our thinking abilities have fully matured in adulthood, many individuals, including leaders, may have yet to explore the full potential of their cognitive capabilities. Our thought processes and perceptions of the world can sometimes resemble those of children and adolescents, even as we age. The Pathwise Leadership program offers a unique opportunity to go deeper into your cognitive abilities. It is designed to take participants through advanced psychological concepts that will help them uncover unconscious patterns in their thinking and behavior. By doing so, it aims to open higher levels of cognitive functioning, leading to more effective leadership and personal growth. Learn more about our upcoming cohorts. Great leadership starts from being present in the moment. At its core, it's about developing the skills to consciously address a situation as you choose rather than reacting unconsciously. When we operate on autopilot, our attention gets hijacked by preconceptions, self-judgments, and unnecessary behaviors. Practicing being present means bringing your attention back to your body, which can transform how you interact with others, allowing yourself to listen without interference from your eyes. By training yourself to become more present, you can foster more meaningful connections and respond with a greater understanding. Learn how you can become more present and tune into your communication capacities with our Pathwise Leader program.?www.pathwiseleadership.com? #Leadership #PathwiseLeader #BeingPresent

In one of our classes this week, Jonathan Haidts's metaphor "The Elephant and the Rider" was brought up, comparing the emotional and rational sides of our brain. Jonathan explains our mind as an elephant (emotional, instinctive) with the rider (rational, planning) on top. The rider of the elephant looks like he or she is in charge, but when there’s a disagreement between the elephant and the rider, the elephant usually wins. The next time you are struggling with a decision, ask yourself, can you align your emotions and reason towards the same goal? What's your take? Share your thoughts below.?

Just as external forces can influence public opinion, our unconscious biases shape our reality. These hidden biases act as ego defense mechanisms that give us a false sense of security and uniqueness. Identifying and addressing your unconscious biases can help you recognize strong emotions as potential indicators and trace the origin of these feelings. By examining your biases, you can: ?? Improve your leadership skills ?? Enhance your work relationships and personal relationships ?? And get better clarity when decision-making Clearing the fog in your mind allows you to lead with logic and heart. #unconsciousbias #Leadership #Selfawareness #Professionalgrowth
