We are happy to announce that we have received a grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to launch a GSEC Scholarship Fund to support 34 1st year grad students (part of our GSEC 2024 program) by covering financial expenses in their 1st year of grad school. The GSEC Scholarship Fund arose after hearing from our GSEC 2023 scholars, who experienced financial difficulties in their 1st year of grad school from unexpected expenses such as laptops, textbooks, transportation, lab software, and relocation. These financial costs are barriers in the academic success of students during a critical time of their graduate school journey.
