Pathway is more than a lender, and we're on a mission to help underserved small businesses, their owners, and the communities they serve grow, prosper and succeed across Tennessee. Since inception, Pathway has invested over $525 million toward fostering small business growth, promoting affordable housing, and supporting climate initiatives.
We offer a complete catalog of loan products, from $5,000 to $5 million, and a full range of learning programs, from classrooms to one-to-one coaching, to businesses at any stage in any industry in Tennessee and the Southeast region.
CAPITAL | SMALL BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL LOANS
Small business financing starts at $5,000 with microloans, working capital, equipment loans and lines of credit with flexible terms and payback periods. Our commercial lending solutions span multifamily affordable housing, commercial real estate and energy efficiency loans. When it comes to helping communities prosper, investing in people who start businesses calls for investing in places where they can grow their businesses, too.
CAPACITY | 1-1 COACHING, WORKSHOPS, AND ACCESSIBLE VIRTUAL LEARNING
Access to capital takes more than financial resources. Our mission to create opportunity in the communities we serve calls for offering educational resources, too.
Our Business Advisory Services team provides borrowers with one-on-one coaching before and after the loan to help business owners manage the financial health of their businesses and become capital ready.
The Women’s Business Center at Pathway provides classroom and peer learning to help businesses in all industries and stages grow, succeed and strengthen their economic impact.
Launched in 2018 with support from SBA, Pathway Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) provides entrepreneurship training and counseling to transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses or survivors in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Meet our fourth panelist for Leaders 2025, Clint Gwin. The longtime president and CEO of Pathway Lending, Clint Gwin is in the business of helping to kickstart low-income community businesses, low-income entrepreneurs, African American entrepreneurs, and women- and veteran-owned businesses.
