Challenging conditions on the yard - cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, and wind blowing 40mph all day (wasn’t even Nebraska!) While we call it tough, it’s a typical day for employees who are caring for animals ensuring they have feed and clean water every day - regardless of conditions. Shrink, on the other hand, that’s a topic for a different post. #valuediscovery

2024 marked the fifth year for Pathom as an independent venture consulting firm. Results for the year included in person, boots on the ground, work in eight US states as well as six various countries on four continents.?Add in virtual coaching and training sessions and the number jumped to fifteen countries.? While many know Pathom from the agriculture and manufacturing worlds, we know diversity is key to growth and sustainability.?Pathom added startups, energy companies, gold hauling equipment, and even a ski operation to our client base. That being said, we always enjoyed our visits to poultry, swine, beef, and dairy farms, as well as manufacturing facilities.? We continued to test and expand Pathom’s Value Discovery Methodology.?1,300+ projects and counting! We would like to thank our clients (most of whom have NDAs) for their challenging issues that push us to continually refine our process in order to bring them success.?At Pathom, we love the work we do and look forward to 2025 and whatever pain points our clients will bring forward. Movie scene but in real life. We recently completed an all day session in Lyon, France with a large global client. Room was full, discussion lively, and after 10 hours of being “on” it was time for dinner and recap of the proceedings. Earlier in the day, we had received a text from BJ Brugman of Distynct. From his Iowa HQ he had seen a social media post, recognized the location, and reached out to provide a local restaraunt choice. (BJ Brugman and Kayla Brugman resided in Lyon for a time) We arrived to a “You must be Tom and Patrick” from Frank the owner! In the corner table sat a hand selected, chilled champagne that BJ Brugman had ordered, from Iowa HQ, to celebrate Pathom’s good day in Lyon (4,570 miles away). TOTAL BOSS LEVEL MOVE! We share because 1) the world is not that large, 2) friendships transcend borders, and 3) BJ Brugman is doing good things.

Change of pace in sunny Florida meeting some new friends and working with amazing veterinarians and staff. It was a tough job helping acclimate these two ferocious feline adoptions to human touch, but Tom Baker was up to the task! #valuediscovery

8.3% This was the result from a recent hatchery visit of the expected eggs not hatching and creating negative value. The client had a kpi of hatch they were having trouble meeting and asked for a different perspective to give them fresh ideas. Our Value Discovery approach once again proved fruitful providing several recommendations that required little to no capital, along with clear implementation. The unfortunate aspect, too long had gone by before this operation had reached out. They could have saved resources and recaptured losses months faster! Key take way - need a different perspective, give us a call, don’t wait. #valuediscovery
