Meet PATH Senior Vice President of Business Development, Jason Dean! Jason has been with PATH for four years and says his favorite part of the job is ""seeing our sales team go through the process of learning the ropes, getting in front of an audience to make a pitch, and bring home a contract."" Jason holds a B.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. With a diverse professional background, the majority of his career has been rooted in sales and business development. His first role after graduating from Southern Miss was selling pagers for SkyTel in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment in downtown Jackson. Over the years, Jason gained experience working in higher education, state government, and even at the federal level before ultimately returning to sales in various capacities. Before joining Path, Jason specialized in securing government contracts for leasing modified aircraft used in specialized and classified missions. Whether selling pagers, Gulfstream jets, or energy services, he has found that the rhythm and structure of a sales cycle remain remarkably consistent across industries. Outside of PATH, Jason is the owner of Parlor 18 Eighty Six, a restaurant in Flora, MS, and is grateful for a dedicated team of employees who have been there since day one. Their commitment allows Jason the freedom to explore creative strategies to attract and engage customers in the fast-paced restaurant industry. Unlike PATH’s extended sales cycle, which can span years, the restaurant industry operates on a nightly sales cycle, making it a highly competitive and dynamic field—one that Jason thrives in and loves. Meet PATH Vice President of Business Development, William Franklin! William has been an integral part of the PATH team for six years, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. A proud graduate of the University of Arkansas’ Walton College of Business, William holds a degree in Finance and Accounting. Before joining PATH, he built a successful career in banking and financial services, working closely with business owners and executives to navigate complex decision-making processes. His strong background in finance and economics allows him to collaborate creatively with clients while considering the long-term impact of every project. William’s favorite part of his role is the complexity and variety that comes with working with diverse group of clients. “I genuinely enjoy developing projects and building rapport with customers. Every client brings unique challenges, and finding tailored solutions is both rewarding and fulfilling.” When he’s not at work, William treasures time with his wife and three children, whether they’re cooking, enjoying the outdoors, or spending weekends at the lake. He’s also an avid runner, hunter, fisherman, and expert DIY-er at home (don't ask his wife!). Meet PATH Engineering Associate, Charley Warren! Charley has been an integral part of the PATH team for 3.5 years, working out of our Jackson, MS office. A proud graduate of Mississippi State University, Charley earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. In addition to her work at PATH, she serves as the Student Activities Chair for the Mississippi ASHRAE chapter, where she inspires young students by sharing the benefits of a career in engineering. Charley’s favorite aspect of her role is collaborating with clients to understand their goals for upgrading building infrastructure. She finds it especially rewarding to design projects that not only meet their needs but also provide long-term energy savings to help offset costs. Outside of work, Charley enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring Jackson’s vibrant restaurant scene, and playing pickleball when the weather allows. Meet PATH Senior Vice President of Engineering, Alan Watts! Alan has been a valued member of the PATH team since December 2018, bringing over a decade of experience in engineering consulting and the energy services industry. A proud graduate of Mississippi State University, Alan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee and Arkansas. Alan’s favorite part of his role is the creativity it allows in designing projects that exceed customer expectations while maximizing their budgets. He also enjoys collaborating with his team, helping them achieve the same high standards. When he’s not at work, Alan loves spending time with his family, savoring great food, traveling, and pursuing his passion for woodworking.
