1Password’s Head of Passwordless, Anna Pobletts, is seeing a future with fewer passwords. Passkey adoption will continue to accelerate as teams recognize it as the best unphishable option to keep organizations secure. With more passkeys being used, technical improvements will also follow. For example, conditional create passkeys will let websites automatically create a passkey for a user if they've already consented to credential creation. Along with related origin improvements, which enable passkeys to work across multiple domains under a single brand or have affiliated websites, these features will simplify the user experience and reduce friction. With fewer barriers in 2025, more people may be looking for passkeys as their preferred form of authentication.?
