Ripple effects of generosity On Friday, October 25th at 1230p, Pass the Torch for Women's Board Chair India Brown, MBA, PMP received a check from Linda Calvin, President, of Transcend Consulting, and her husband, Joe Calvin, CEO of Transcend Consulting. This donation is made possible by the generosity of Eight Eleven Group during Indiana Women IN Tech Week. ? 100% of the fees collected for registration for the CTRL+ALT+EMPOWER event are being directed to Pass the Torch for Women. Women have consistently highlighted the critical importance of mentorship in achieving their career aspirations. Pass the Torch for Women was proud to partner with Transcend Consulting, providing essential funding to expand mentoring programs for women in tech across central Indiana. With invaluable support from the Eight Eleven Group, headquartered in Indianapolis, who took the ball and ran with it, celebrating across all of their offices in the U.S. and making women in tech a priority within their company. This donation from Linda and her husband Joe, with the support of the Eight Eleven Group, will allow Pass The Torch for Women to provide mentoring to 22 women who signed up for mentors during the Women In Tech Week. ? Pass The Torch is extremely grateful for the contributions that were donated to allow us to provide a platform where Women In Tech will get the additional support, and encouragement they need to help them navigate through their tech careers. Indiana Women IN Tech Week was founded by Linda Calvin, JD (she/her/hers) and Kara Kavensky to celebrate and champion all women, especially those of color, in tech careers. Through highlighting mentorship, career pathways, and sponsors for women to enter and excel in tech careers, they hope to move the needle to create a more robust workforce in Indiana.
