Mission Complete! We’re thrilled to announce the opening of O’Hare International Airport’s new parking structure—the first-ever dedicated to Terminal 5! This state-of-the-art facility more than doubles the available parking, enhancing convenience for both domestic and international travelers. This Megaproject Monday, we’re taking a look at the newly completed parking garage at O’Hare’s Terminal 5, which offers unprecedented efficiency for the terminal’s domestic and international travelers! Key features include: ? 6 stories of parking space, with live availability updates via guidance technology ? 1,700 spaces ? 48 electric vehicle charging stations ? A $191 million investment This project was undertaken by 189 participating contractors, including 47 minority-owned firms and 39 women-owned firms. The joint venture is on track to exceed its minority business goal of 26%, with a current participation rate of 34.8%. Here are the latest updates from the site: ? Limestone installation on the exterior of the building has proceeded past the articulation point at Level 4 ? Major mechanical units that serve the Museum have been placed ? Overhead work for the Auditorium is proceeding ? Placement of terrazzo concrete topping slabs at the Garden Level of the Forum has commenced ? We’re thrilled to announce that Paschen Concrete has placed the first concrete on the F.H. Paschen Bellwood project. This workforce housing development is a collaborative effort between the Village of Bellwood, F.H. Paschen, the State of Illinois, and Mesirow Public Finance. Scheduled for completion in Spring 2026, this project is set to meet the growing demand for workforce housing in West Suburban Cook County. The Bellwood Gateway Project marks a significant milestone as the first-ever workforce housing development in Illinois to utilize workforce housing bonds.
