关于我们
The City of Pasadena was incorporated in 1928 and the first City Marshal, B. H. Pitts, was appointed. He was followed by Aubrey Cruse and O. C. King. Marshals handled law enforcement in the city until the formation of the Pasadena Police Department in 1937. J. C. Drury was the first official Chief of Police. Chief Drury and four (4) officers policed the city from 1937 to 1939 with one police car. A new chief was appointed in 1939. From then to the present time, the department has had 14 chiefs. We have grown from one vehicle to a fleet of 240 and from four officers to approximately 260 officers and 78 civilians. The main police station has also changed from a small office for four officers to a new 80,000+ square foot structure. Today, our 260 officers patrol 67 square miles, serving approximately 150,000 citizens. We have had to adapt and alter our strategies through the years by creating specialized units such as: Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Motorcycles, Gang Intelligence, S.W.A.T., Auto Theft, Special Investigations, among others. Working together, officers utilize a state of the art radio system, with virtually an unlimited number of talk groups, along with a computer aided dispatch system and mobile data computers to aid them in keeping our citizens safe. On average, we respond to approximately 90,000 calls for service per year. Through the direction of our current chief, Josh Bruegger, the Pasadena Police Department puts a strong emphasis on crime prevention and engaging with citizens in a positive light. This idea is solidified by the belief that any crime prevention strategy is more successful when a strong partnership is formed between the police department and the community abroad. Our mission is to lawfully safeguard the lives and liberties of our community. Furthermore, our department earnestly endeavors to be recognized as the premier law enforcement agency in our region through the consistent delivery of excellent police services.

Carlos De Alejandro's law enforcement career began when he was accepted into the Houston Police Academy when he was 19 years old. After graduating from the police academy, he was assigned to patrol the southeast side of Houston. He then worked for the Harris County Constables Office, Precinct 6. After years of service at Pct. 6, he was promoted to Captain. After 13 years of service with the Houston Police Department and 28 years of service with the Constable's Office, he decided to retire in October 2016. Carlos soon realized that he greatly missed the workforce and decided to begin another chapter of his law enforcement career as a Lieutenant at the Pasadena City Marshals Office. In January, he decided it was time to pass the torch and planned to retire in April 2024. He feels blessed to have worked with the men and women of the Pasadena City Marshals Office and the Police Department; he met wonderful and professional individuals. He is looking forward to spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends, all while traveling the country with his wife of 47 years! We congratulate Carlos as he embarks on his retirement journey after a dedicated and fulfilling career in law enforcement.
