The Partnership for Student Success is thrilled to see that two coalition members -- The State University of New York and City Year -- announced last week that they are expanding their partnership to enhance service and educational opportunities for college students across New York State. This partnership, made possible through an investment from Einhorn Collaborative, enables SUNY students to earn college credit for prior service experience. It also creates a new part-time student success coach role as part of the Empire State Service Corps that will enable SUNY students to support K-12 students with with academic and mentoring support. What an incredible conversation yesterday at the Promising Practices Panel at AASA, The School Superintendents Association's 2025 National Conference on Education! ?? Leaders from the Partnership Student Success, Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, and Beaverton School District came together to discuss actionable strategies for addressing chronic absenteeism and strengthening school connectedness.
