关于我们

As metropolitan Atlanta and the American South undergo major demographic and economic shifts Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) works to address issues of growth and access because of the disproportionate burdens they impose on vulnerable communities. PSE is leading the way in helping to change and frame policy conversations by partnering with decision makers and community stakeholders to realize equitable policies and outcomes that benefit everyone. Through the leadership of PSE and its partners thoughtful conversations have evolved into collective action because PSE understands the critical need to articulate and promote equity as the superior growth model when broaching these issues to local organizations, community and business leaders, governmental entities and regional organizations.

  • Throughout history, women have led movements for racial, economic, and gender equality, battling systemic injustice and demanding the rights of the marginalized be recognized. They’ve stood up for environmental justice, educational equity, healthcare access, and the dignity of every human being. These women embody the true meaning of resilience, not only surviving but thriving through hardship and injustice, showing us the power of collective action and compassion. Today, we honor those who have paved the way and continue to push for a better future, knowing that true equity means amplifying all stories—especially those of women whose voices are often overlooked. Let us be inspired by their commitment and be bold in our own efforts to stand for justice, respect, and equal opportunity for every woman, everywhere. Together, we are shaping a world where HER story is heard, respected, and celebrated. #InternationalWomensDay #AmplifyHerStory #WomenInSocialJustice #BoldForChange #StrengthInUnity

  • Sixty years ago, on Bloody Sunday, courageous men and women put their lives on the line for the right to vote and the promise of justice. Their bravery in the face of brutal opposition became a defining moment in the civil rights movement. Today, we honor the legacy of heroes like John Lewis and Hosea Williams, who led the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, knowing the risks but refusing to back down. Their sacrifice was not in vain, but the fight for equity and justice continues. At PSE, we remain committed to carrying their mission forward—challenging systemic injustice, amplifying community voices, and advocating for lasting change. Let us remember, reflect, and recommit to the work that remains. #BloodySunday #JohnLewis #HoseaWilliams #EquityAndJustice #CivilRights

  • We are thrilled to celebrate Ngina Mandouma, LMSW, an inaugural member of the Just Health Academy cohort (2022–2023), for her unwavering commitment to health equity and social justice. With over 30 years of experience, Ngina has been a powerful advocate for communities impacted by mental health disparities, bridging critical gaps in behavioral health care. As a Behavioral Health Therapist at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and Program Coordinator for We Are On ASU, Ngina has played a pivotal role in supporting the mental well-being of students, faculty, and staff at Albany State University. Her leadership within the Just Health Circle (JHC) since 2019, and her contributions to the Outreach, Education, and Advocacy Workgroup (OEA) and the Health Equity: The Urgency of Now webinar series, have been invaluable in advancing the conversation around mental health and wellness. Ngina’s passion for advocacy, collaboration, and capacity building has made her an inspiring champion for health and racial equity, embodying the spirit of the Partnership for Southern Equity. • This Women’s Herstory Month, we’re honoring the trailblazers, the change-makers, and the storytellers — the women who are shaping equity and creating lasting impact every single day. At Partnership for Southern Equity, women are the driving force behind our work, making up 85% of our team — and 80% of those women are Black women. Their brilliance, resilience, and unwavering commitment to justice fuel our mission and push us forward in the fight for equity across the South. From boardrooms to grassroots movements, women are leading with vision, purpose, and power — proving time and time again that progress is possible when women’s voices and stories are centered. This month and beyond, we’re Sharing Stories, Shaping Equity, and Celebrating Women’s Impact. #WomensHerstoryMonth #EquityMatters #PSEEquity #SharingStoriesShapingEquity #womenshistorymonth
