?? Wrapping up the week on a high note! ?? I'm incredibly proud to share some fantastic progress from our project, - The Health Collab in Pakistan ????. Since December 2022, we've been able to provide care to 21,613 patients across various regions. This isn't just a number—it's a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our amazing team on the ground. ?? Our facility serves a diverse community, with 45% of our patients being children, 34% women, and 21% men. We're especially proud of our 73% follow-up/return patient ratio—a clear sign that we're making a real difference in people's lives. We serve a population of nearly 300,000, many of whom are daily wage earners with limited access to healthcare. The trust they've placed in us is humbling, and it drives us to keep pushing forward, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all. None of this would be possible without our incredible team and the support from our partners. Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us bring essential care to those who need it most. Let’s continue to work together to make a difference—one patient at a time! ?? Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend ahead! ?? #Healthcare #CommunityImpact #Pakistan #HealthCollab #Proud M-Umer Farooq Kainth Jawad Raza Alex Roberts Adam Ennis Stephanie Babinczky Sydney Stevens

?? Celebrating International Youth Day: Empowering the Next Generation This year's theme, "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development," highlights the transformative power of digital technologies in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Young people are at the forefront of this digital revolution, leveraging technology to drive positive change across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The Power of Digital Technologies for Sustainable Development Digital technologies, including mobile devices, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, are revolutionizing our world. These technologies support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to at least 70% of the 169 SDG targets. Moreover, they have the potential to reduce the cost of achieving these goals by up to USD 55 trillion (Intersog) (Healthcare Transformers). Youth Leading the Digital Charge High Internet Usage: In 2022, three-quarters of young people aged 15 to 24 were internet users, surpassing other age groups. This demonstrates the critical role of youth in digital adoption and innovation (Intersog). Driving Change: Youth are recognized as "digital natives," using technology to create solutions and drive sustainable development. From developing apps that address climate change to utilizing social media for social justice campaigns, young people are making a significant impact (Intersog). Addressing Digital Disparities Despite these advancements, digital disparities persist, particularly in low-income countries and among young women, who often have less access to the internet and digital skills compared to their male counterparts. Addressing these disparities is crucial for achieving inclusive and equitable digital progress (Intersog). Celebrating Youth Digital Contributions By celebrating the digital contributions of youth, we can inspire further innovation and collaboration towards achieving sustainable development. Let's recognize and support the efforts of young people in harnessing digital technologies to build a better future. We had the privilege of attending an incredible lunchtime panel hosted by Australian International Development Network, where a few of the fantastic speakers from the Philanthropy Australia Conference in Adelaide joined us in Melbourne. The event was a rich source of inspiration and insight, featuring a keynote from Andy Bryant, Executive Director at the Segal Family Foundation, on "Trust-based philanthropy - backing the bold ideas of local leaders." Hosted by the dynamic Evelyn Omala (Partners for Equity), we were also inspired by the stories and experiences shared by leaders like Safeena Husain, who is making remarkable strides with Educate Girls in India's rural areas, and Isabelle Kamariza, the visionary President and Founder of Solid'Africa. Hearing from these leaders reinforced the meaning and power of trust-based philanthropy and the impact of supporting local initiatives with bold visions. We left the event energised and motivated to continue our work at Partners In Progress, driving change through strategic and empathetic programs. #Philanthropy #Leadership #CommunityImpact #TrustBasedPhilanthropy #Education #GlobalLeadership #PartnersInProgress Sydney Stevens Stephanie Babinczky Dan Copsey

Improving health outcomes in underserved communities is a critical component of our mission at Partners in Progress. Here are some best practices we've found effective: ? Community Engagement: Involve community members in designing and implementing health programs to ensure they meet local needs and are culturally appropriate. ?Capacity Building: Strengthen local health systems by training healthcare workers and providing essential resources and infrastructure. ?Integrated Services: Offer comprehensive care that addresses a range of health issues, from maternal and child health to mental health and non-communicable diseases. ?Access to Medicines: Ensure availability and affordability of essential medicines and vaccines. ?Health Education: Promote health literacy through education campaigns that empower individuals to make informed health decisions. By focusing on these areas, we can make significant strides towards achieving SDG 3 and ensuring healthier lives for all. #HealthForAll #SDG3 #CommunityHealth #HealthEquity #PartnersInProgress

Effective policy and community engagement are crucial in addressing health inequities. We are committed to advocating for policies that promote health and education equity. But this raises an important question: what comes first—policy change or on-the-ground action? On-the-ground action often brings immediate relief and demonstrates tangible benefits to the community, creating a strong case for policy change. Conversely, policy changes can create a framework that supports sustainable, long-term improvements. What do you think? Should we prioritise immediate, grassroots efforts to address urgent needs, or focus on driving policy changes to ensure systemic, lasting impact? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. #Advocacy #HealthEquity #CommunityEngagement #PolicyChange #PartnersInProgress

What is Capacity Building and Why It Matters As we approach the End of Financial Year, Partners in Progress reflects on one of the core elements of our mission: capacity building. But what exactly is capacity building, and why is it so crucial for NGOs and the communities we serve? Capacity building is the process of developing and strengthening the skills, abilities, processes, and resources that organisations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in a fast-changing world. For NGOs, this means enhancing our ability to deliver effective programs, engage stakeholders, and achieve our mission. Why it matters. - Sustainable Impact: By investing in capacity building, we ensure that our projects have a lasting impact. Stronger organisations can continue to deliver services and support long after initial funding has ended. - Community Empowerment: Capacity building empowers communities by providing them with the tools and knowledge to take charge of their own development. This leads to more resilient and self-reliant communities. - Enhanced Efficiency: With improved skills and processes, NGOs can operate more efficiently and effectively, making the most of limited resources to achieve greater impact. - Adaptability: In an ever-changing world, the ability to adapt is crucial. Capacity building helps organisations and communities stay responsive to new challenges and opportunities. At Partners in Progress, we focus on several key areas of capacity building as part of our core focus for 2024/2025. - Training and Development for staff and volunteers. - Organisational Development, strengthening our internal processes and resource management to ensure we operate effectively. - Working closely with communities to identify their needs and build their capacity to address those needs. - Collaborating with other NGOs, government bodies, and stakeholders to share resources, expertise, and best practices. As we move into the next financial year, we are excited to continue our capacity building efforts. We invite other NGOs to join us in this mission. By working together and sharing our knowledge and resources, we can create a stronger, more effective sector capable of driving sustainable change. How do you approach capacity building in your organisation? Share your experiences and insights in the comments below! #CapacityBuilding #NGO #CommunityDevelopment #EOFY2024 #PartnersInProgress #SustainableImpact
