We are so appreciative of the incredible Colorado College #volunteers who spent two full days preparing two single-family homes for households entering our #TransitionalHousing program in October! Their hard work included cleaning out trash and debris—especially tackling the heavier items in the basement—painting the inside of a two-story home, and even demolishing kitchen cabinets and removing appliances to prepare for a full kitchen revamp! Thanks to their dedication, these homes are one step closer to providing safe, clean spaces for families to begin their journey toward self-sufficiency. Those who volunteered were from BreakOut, a student organization at Colorado College's Collaborative for Community Engagement that works to connect students to the broader #ColoradoSprings community.
