#Recruiting #Veterans Partners in Careers (PIC), a non-profit employment readiness agency, is recruiting for a full-time position. The Employment Specialist will be working one on one with homeless veterans to help secure housing and create pathways to employment. A key element of this position will be to connect with local agencies serving veterans and the VA to recruit and enroll veterans that are interested in gaining employment. Experience performing outreach in the Portland Metro Area as well as Clark and Cowlitz Counties in Washington is desirable. Veterans are preferred. Current salary range for full-time Employment Specialist is $35,040 to $45,828 plus generous benefits. Please message Partners in Careers or Sharon Pesut for more information.

This is accomplished by helping people break through barriers to employment, which often means addressing generational poverty. PIC serves low-income parents who want to create stability for themselves and their children, refugees and immigrants looking for a new life in the United States, seniors living at the poverty line, homeless veterans wanting to reintegrate into civilian life, and young people struggling to graduate high school or receive their GED in order to build a better future. PIC connects job seekers to workforce skills and jobs in partnership with local businesses and community members focused on building a strong, healthy community.

Partners in Careers is looking for community members who are interested in sharing their career path with 16-24 year olds who are exploring a variety of career fields. If you are interested in participating in an informational interview (30-60 minutes) or providing a job shadow for a youth (1-4 hours), please let me know.
