For over 25 years, Cathryn has been a passionate advocate for individuals experiencing homelessness and marginalized communities. As the CEO of Partners for Home, she has spearheaded the strategy and vision for ending homelessness in Atlanta. Thank you, Cathryn, for your unwavering dedication and tireless work to make a difference.

As we observed World Homeless Day this Thursday, we reflected on the compassionate closure of the Cooper Street Encampment, a long-standing site in our community. Over the past two years, through dedicated efforts and collaboration, 64 individuals were successfully transitioned from the encampment into stable housing. This achievement highlighted the collective commitment to addressing homelessness with care and dignity. During this year’s closure: 50 individuals?were on the by-name list 30 have already moved into permanent housing 9 more are scheduled to move in?by Friday, October 11 11 are actively working on documents?and next steps toward housing This progress is a reminder that?together, we can make a difference. The Atlanta Continuum of Care (CoC) is a powerful coalition of over 150 agencies and 500+ individuals dedicated to ending homelessness in our city. We invite you to join us in this mission by getting involved in one of our many committees and workgroups. ?? Client Advisory Committee (CAC): Adults over 24 with lived experience of homelessness consult the CoC on critical issues and advocate for effective solutions. ?? Atlanta Youth Action Board (YAB): Youth ages 18-24 who have faced homelessness bring their voices to the forefront, representing the needs and perspectives of young people in our community. ?? Coordinated Entry Committee: This group works to enhance client access to services, shaping policies and procedures, and using data to drive impactful decisions. ?? Youth Provider Committee: Providers dedicated to ending youth homelessness collaborate to ensure every young person in Atlanta has a safe and stable place to call home. Ready to make a difference?
