Earlier this month, we hosted the 2024 Water Celebration with 5th and 6th grade students from Delta Middle School at the Delta Reservoir. Every other year, we bring together various organizations to teach the importance of water conservation through 10 interactive stations. Our team, along with our partners, helped students understand the life cycles of water—from erosion and water filtration to fun facts about water. Additionally, one of our stations introduced the concept of alternative energy, focusing specifically on the uses and benefits of solar energy. As safety is a core value at North Steel, we also incorporated safety training, teaching the kids how to use a fire extinguisher!
