Through this innovative three-year apprenticeship, Nathan honed expertise in polymer extrusion manufacturing, mechatronics, and advanced troubleshooting—equipping him with the confidence to tackle challenges and support his team. Nathan says: "This program has been an amazing opportunity. It helped me grow my knowledge, advance my career at VEKA - North America, and discover what I truly enjoy. Congratulations to Jessica, Misty, Shyla, Virginia, Hadassah, and Asia on starting their new roles at PNC, Northwest Bank, First Commonwealth Bank, First National Bank, and Dollar Bank. Their achievements showcase the power of partnership. Building Success: Pittsburgh’s Workforce Transformation in Action! ?? Through 4Construction, Partner4Work is proud to be creating life-changing opportunities in Pittsburgh’s construction industry. This initiative has already made a powerful impact, equipping residents with skills for high-demand careers. One standout story is that of Troy Buefort, a graduate of Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation's Introduction to the Construction Trades Pre-Apprentice Training program and PIT2Work, in partnership with Pittsburgh International Airport. Before joining PIT2Work, Troy had no experience in construction, but he quickly excelled, gaining skills, certifications, and confidence that have transformed his future. Now a skilled labor apprentice with Local 1058, Troy shared how PIT2Work has been a blessing and put him on the right path to success. Troy is a testament to how partnerships through 4Construction empowers local talent and supports career growth. With additional investments from federal and local leaders, 4Construction is expanding to reach even more of our neighbors. Ribbon Cutting for the Nation’s First EV Technician Apprenticeship! We're celebrating a milestone in sustainable innovation and workforce development with the unveiling of the nation’s first Electric Vehicle (EV) Automotive Technician Apprenticeship program at the Community College of Allegheny County West Hills Center. This game-changing initiative, powered by the German American Chamber of Commerce, Pittsburgh Chapter, CCAC, the Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board, and Partner4Work will equip the next generation of EV technicians with hands-on, debt-free training. Acting Secretary Julie Su, Congressman Chris Deluzio, County Executive Sara Innamorato, Dr. Quintin Bullock of CCAC, Rachel Mauer the GACC, Lisa McIntyre of the Greater Pittsburgh Auto Dealers Association, and Partner4Work CEO Robert Cherry spoke at this momentous occasion, underscoring the strong federal, state, and local commitment to equitable workforce development.
