In this time of reflection, we asked a sampling of our clients how Partner is doing and how we can improve. After reading hundreds of survey responses, one word comes to mind: Gratitude. We are grateful for the gift of feedback, for our strong client relationships, for our incredible team who works so hard to deliver excellence, and for the opportunity to collectively grow and thrive in ’25. A very sincere thank you to everyone who participated. Here’s to a successful year ahead!

Understanding how to navigate environmental liability, legal obligations, and insurance recovery is critical for property owners and real estate professionals—especially in the wake of recent wildfire events across California. This Friday, our team will be attending the 2025 Los Angeles County Bar Association Environmental Spring Symposium in Los Angeles. Suzi Rosen, PG, CHg will moderate a timely panel titled "Navigating Environmental, Legal, and Insurance Issues Post-Wildfires," with Bryan Hill joining as a featured panelist. Eric Smith, PG, CHg, Dana Clausen, and Wendy Moore will be representing Partner at this event. Feel free to reach out if you will be attending too! https://lnkd.in/g3s_ETxC #EnvironmentalLaw #WildfireRecovery #CREInsights

Big news in San Jose: the city’s new Soft Story Retrofit Ordinance goes live April 1, 2025—and no, this is not an April Fools’ joke. If you own a wood-frame multifamily building built before 1990, Jason G. Coray, PE, SE, breaks down what this means for you (hint: it’s time to start thinking retrofits). Check out his article for key deadlines, smarter strategies, and how to keep your building standing strong. https://lnkd.in/gXEcTn67

We had a great time this morning at Bisnow’s Toronto State of the Market event, where our portion of our Canadian team—Jamie Jastrab, Director; Mari Subero, P.Eng.; and Lili Ghasemi, M.Sc., P.Geo—connected with industry leaders on what’s ahead for commercial real estate. Partner was proud to sponsor breakfast for the event, hosted at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel downtown, where we recently completed a Phase I ESA and Building Condition Assessment for the 1.5 million square-foot facility. Always a pleasure to support our clients and community in the city we’re proud to call home.
