The major takeaway is the opportunity to test and learn, digging into this requires some serious AB testing capabilities. We agree, incrementally can only be truly proven through proper testing. Watch out for some upcoming case studies on exactly this ?? Colin Lewis made the great point that while some fear Retail Media will cannibalise traditional trade marketing, it's actually the trojan horse for a new business model, offering better measurement and visibility for brands. Really enjoyed Sally Tobin's insights on the retail media landscape—excited to dive into the Mars United Commerce report card. A highlight was the well-moderated session by Hope Williams featuring Gai Le Roy, Mike Tyquin, and Fern Shannon discussing how retailers can better understand and engage with their target audience by exploring consumer attitudes towards convenience in online shopping and the value exchange in loyalty programs. Fern provided a fantastic brand perspective, sharing how Unilever has succeeded with retail media to drive brand growth and create deeper connections with customers. Rob Grogan and Julia Edwards' discussion on Retail Media for Gen Z & Millennials was fascinating, ideating on how Uber uses the 'quick commerce' approach when advertising liquor for riders on the way to a house party. Shout out to Adam Posner - Loyalty Specialist for your session on loyalty programs and retail media, really eye opening—also thanks for the heads up on NotebookLM, can't wait to give it a try. It was a pleasure speaking with so many industry leaders in the space Melissa Polglase, Sophia Furness, Nick Hinsley, Paul Brooks, Paulette Parisi, Ramy Youssef, Ben Campbell, Neil Ackland, Jane Schofield, Craig Muller, Elizabeth Toohey, Jon Harding.
