Cérences, France (October 22, 2024) Particles for Humanity, in partnership with LIS by Lesaffre, successfully manufactured commercial scale batches of PFH-VAP, the company’s lead product. PFH-VAP was designed to improve vitamin A stability for use in large scale food fortification, an intervention proven to address micronutrient deficiencies at scale.

?? We have been glad to receive Judith T. from Particles for Humanity, PBC on her visit to our facilities in Barcelona. Particles for Humanity transforms early-stage medical technology into products for people living in low and lower-middle income countries (LMICs). ? The company’s lead product, PFH-VAP, is a stable form of vitamin A for use in food fortification to address vitamin A deficiency. Globally 19 million pregnant women and 190 million pre-school age children are affected by vitamin A deficiency, most of them living in Africa and South Asia. Bonals Technologies produced thousands of bouillon cubes fortified with PFH-VAP to perform research to improve the vitamin A status of people in LMICs. Particles for Humanity Completes Sensory Study on PFH-VAP Cambridge, MA (April 2nd, 2024). Particles for Humanity has completed a study of the taste and smell of bouillon cubes containing the company’s lead product, a stable form of vitamin A, called PFH-VAP. Based on the results, Particles for Humanity expects little to no impact on the sensory properties of bouillon fortified with PFH-VAP. These results, showing consistency with bouillon cubes currently on the market, demonstrate the potential for customers to seamlessly transition to using cubes fortified with PFH-VAP in the future.?
