What is a summer internship? A job or a learning opportunity? Hopefully a learning opportunity and an enjoyable experience all around. Having Tobias Maiden join us for his second summer has been enjoyable and we are hopeful his experience has provided him insight that he can carry far into his professional career some years from now.

On this morning four years ago, my now business partners Matt Prigmore and Ryan W. Roettker, AIA began outlining our business plan for what was later named Parscale Group Who knew starting an architecture firm focused heavily on the merchant developer market of corporate office in September of 2021 would be so turbulent! ?? #interestrates skyrocketed right out the gate! We have been supported by many developer friends and cheered on by many peers. Quickly we learned to diversify our business model and it continues to evolve to this day. Corporate Office, Mixed-Use, Multifamily, light industrial, Hospitality, Corporate Interiors, Retail, Sport Facilities are all now in our portfolio, next is a return to Healthcare and Higher Education! 2024 has been less than kind, a tough-love kind of year. The kind of year we hope to look back upon and say “remember when….” We have forged alliances with other firms in town both small and International in joint pursuit of projects of significant scale - this partnering is one thing that makes DFW Design and Construction industry special. We all know there will be more opportunities , we will each get our share. What remains consistent since our inception is our drive to be #NotJustAnotherServiceArchitect and to #TakeRisksExploreWhatIfsDeliver Thank you to everyone, from the first person I asked to breakfast about an idea.. to the client who said “giddy up”… to my friend who enthusiastically said “JP I got your first project”.. or to the friend who “showed up with the manila folder….. ??” and to those friends who kept our intentions confidential between June and August of 2021 and of course our families and friends as we built a plan to take over an industry! We are building a design firm, we believe unlike any other. We are your partners and understand that in everything we do and deliver - we can and will do better and achieve more! We don’t do this alone. We do this with the unwavering commitment and talent of the team that works with us… Matt, Brandon, Devin, Eileen - Thank you! Temporarily visible on the exterior, not feasible to leave exposed in the Texas weather - Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is a large-scale, prefabricated, solid engineered wood panel. Lightweight yet very strong, with superior acoustic, fire, seismic and thermal performance, CLT is also fast and easy to install, generating almost no waste onsite. CLT offers design flexibility and low environmental impacts. For these reasons, cross-laminated timber is proving to be a highly advantageous alternative to conventional materials like concrete, masonry or steel, especially in multifamily and commercial construction.
