While we love tools like Pinterest, we find our creativity flourishes when we take a moment in nature, study historic architecture, or peruse one of the many design magazines available — Architectural Digest is a classic! A reminder that inspiring design is all around us in the subtle details of everyday life, not just the curated picture-perfect moments. Do you have a preference between natural and synthetic rugs? Here is a quick breakdown: Natural Rugs are made with natural materials derived from plants or animals, including silk, cotton, wool, hides, jute, and seagrass. They are usually handwoven and require a more detailed process, making them more durable and higher quality. While this comes with a higher price tag, it's a good choice for a sustainable and eco-friendly rug. Natural material rugs often look more traditional due to their deep colors and heavy textures. Synthetic rugs are made with non-natural materials such as nylon, polyester, and polypropylene. They are often more budget-friendly because they can be factory-made. Synthetic rugs aren’t as durable but are usually easier to clean due to the fabric construction. Synthetic materials can also produce brighter and bolder colors, providing more options with abstract designs and modern looks. A controversial opinion we've heard recently: "There are too many TVs in homes." When deciding whether or not to include a TV in a room, it comes down to the goal of the space. Is the room a primary entertaining area or somewhere to facilitate good conversation? From there, you can decide whether a TV will help or distract from the goal. What are your thoughts? Do we, as a society, need to go back to only one TV in the household?
