Compassion is the best medicine. ?? We are proud of our team of 12 nurses from IHH HEALTHCARE SINGAPORE who volunteered at the Migrant Worker Health Screening & Christmas celebration in collaboration with Crisis Relief Alliance last Saturday. Our nurses conducted foot screenings for 450 migrant workers, ensuring early detection and prevention of potential foot health issues. Foot hygiene is especially important for these workers, many of whom spend long hours in boots. This initiative highlights our ongoing commitment to community health and the well-being of those who work tirelessly to support our society. Generative AI is revolutionising #healthcare, not just with innovative solutions for patient care such as advance medical interventions and early detection, but also by alleviating the administrative workload for nurses.?? When it comes to smoothly running day-to-day operations in a hospital, nurses are indispensable. One exciting application is AI-powered rostering, which is already implemented at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital (Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore), with Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore soon to follow. This system allows staff to input their scheduling preferences, automatically generating rosters that meet regulatory requirements. What once took 4-6 hours to do manually can now be completed in just 30 minutes, enabling nurses to focus more on clinical care. Sally Lim, Director of Nursing at IHH Healthcare Singapore, recently spoke with HRM Asia on how we're utilising GenAI to boost productivity and reduce administrative burdens.
