Access to care is vital, no matter where you live. On #RuralHealthDay, we’re raising awareness for people with Parkinson’s disease who live in rural areas. Out of the 660 movement disorder specialists in the United States, less than 10 currently practice in rural areas. We’re working to bridge this gap with community grants, virtual programs & services, and health professional training. If you or a loved one are looking for care near you, know you can contact our free PD Helpline to chat with our Parkinson’s Specialists: 1-800-4PD-INFO (473-4636) | [email protected] | Parkinson.org/Helpline
