The editorial staff at PTM has loved the conversations and feedback we have received from our readers. We will continue to work on new topics and angles to elevate parking conversations further. We’re looking forward to the ongoing evolution of our content as we work hard to share the good news of the parking industry and professionals.???Here’s to another great year in the making! #ParkingTodayMedia #ParkingIndustry
For those of you afraid of AI being used to predict the future, no matter what AI platform you used last year, no one could have predicted John Van Horn's opening session announcement at PIE 2024. One year ago today, John announced the sale and new ownership of Parking Today Media. It was my first time buying a company, but I knew from the sale of NuPark that it is never easy for a founder (in my case, a co-founder) to sell their first company. John did a great job building Parking Today over 27 years, and I was excited to continue that legacy. This past year has been a whirlwind for me as I have learned many new things and enhanced my vision for Parking Today Media. I now know how far ahead we have to ship the magazine, the USPS rules about postage and shipping that are not as clear-cut as you might think, and the many details of event location contracts. Though there have been foibles, the Parking Today Media team has helped me grow into this role and provide quality coverage of all things parking to our subscribers. I am proud of what our team has accomplished over the past year. A few highlights include the redesign of Parking Today magazine, an overall brand refresh, the launch of a parking podcast network, a new website, and a new focus for PIE 2025. Internally, our team worked diligently, making changes and implementing several new systems necessary for us to move into the next 20+ years of Parking Today Media.? While these changes have not been easy or quick, they have led to a dramatic increase in our audience size and engagement.?? These changes and clarity of vision should be evident in PIE 2025. From fun and games to unique educational sessions, all of this leads to a conference about connection. Connections where everyone at the show can meet new peers, share their experiences, connect with others facing similar challenges, and see what’s new. All of this is as we celebrate the parking industry and the people that make it work. I want to thank the Parking Today team for their hard work. I would also like to thank all of the content creators who have contributed to the magazine, website, newsletters, podcasts, and will be at PIE this year.? The best insights are from the people who are doing the hard work on a daily basis. We are excited to be the platform to tell their stories. I look forward to chatting with you about where Parking Today Media and the larger parking industry is heading. I would love for you to reach out to me through all typical channels and connect when you can see me in person at PIE, IPMI, NPA, and regional shows. Let’s discover what the future of parking is, together.
