We typically get hundreds of applications when we share a job listing at Parker Management. I wanted to share some things we love and don't love when looking through these: - Simple cover letters that aren't too brief, but also not multiple paragraphs. - Nicely designed resumes (yet not too busy/colorful). We are in the digital space, so showing you have a good sense of aesthetics is important! - Job hopping too frequently on your resume gives us a pause! If you had good reasons for it, be sure to disclose. - ChatGPT is a great tool, but I've never seen so many cover letters clearly using it. If you use ChatGPT, use it as a guideline, not copy and paste (it is very obvious). - Be you! Add your unique character to your cover letter and resume. Someone added a fun fact and a photo of themselves and their dog at the end of their CV- such a sweet touch. - Speak about the company (we love it if someone clearly knows our brand and speaks to that). - Check for typos and be sure you aren't just mass sending out a CV and resume (the most awkward is when someone calls us a different management company name- yikes!).
