Meet Erica Garcia! Erica is a Senior Business Account Executive at Comcast Business and a proud member of the 2025 Women’s Experience Leadership Program. A Colorado native, her career journey has been anything but conventional! She attended Salt Lake Community College, where she became a paralegal, but her thirst for learning led her down many paths. From earning her forklift and scissor lift certifications to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, Erica has embraced every opportunity to grow. She firmly believes that the best investment you can make is in yourself—a mindset that has shaped her into a well-rounded and adaptable professional. As a paralegal, she specialized in defending police officers, honing her communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. However, when the time came to start a family, she pivoted from law and found her way to Comcast Business—a move that led her to her true passion. Leveraging her diverse skill set, Erica quickly thrived, rising through the ranks. Today, she loves helping small businesses find the right products and services to fuel their success. When asked for advice on breaking into her field, Erica shared: ?“You don’t need the perfect experience. Just apply—you might be the perfect fit based on your personality!” Outside of work, Erica is happily married with two wonderful children and three dogs. She enjoys dancing and cooking, especially Korean and Mexican cuisine! Through the Women’s Experience Leadership Program, Erica hopes to build strong female connections and enhance her leadership skills. Her ultimate goal? To step into a leadership position and manage her own sales team. Erica’s journey is a powerful reminder that exploring different fields can open unexpected doors. We could all take a page from her book—stay curious, embrace new experiences, and never stop growing!

Last week was an incredible day for the Women’s Experience Leadership Program! A huge thank you to CORE Electric Cooperative and Mandi Lesher, MBA for sponsoring the event. Mandi shared her powerful journey to her role at CORE, inspiring everyone in the room. We were also fortunate to hear from Michelle Zellner, who spoke on mental health, stress, and burnout. Her insights on the power of our choices and how they shape our lives were truly eye-opening. So many takeaways from this day—grateful for the learning and inspiration!

Parker made it to the State Capitol! ???? Our community had an incredible opportunity to visit the State Capitol, experiencing history firsthand and seeing our government in action. It was truly inspiring to witness the heart of our state up close! The Parker Chamber of Commerce is proud to be part of a community that values education, engagement, and connection. Meet Debbie Blair! Debbie Blair is the Program Manager at SECOR Cares, bringing passion, dedication, and a wealth of experience to her role. Originally from New Jersey, Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware. During college, she participated in a study abroad program in England—a transformative experience that ignited her lifelong love for travel. Embracing her adventurous spirit, she later moved west to Colorado, where she earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Colorado Boulder. For 30 years, Debbie thrived as an educator in the Douglas County School District, inspiring students while continuously expanding her skills. After leaving education, she sought a new way to make an impact—and that’s when she discovered SECOR Cares. What started as a volunteer opportunity quickly evolved into something more. Recognizing her incredible contributions, the organization entrusted her with increasing responsibilities, ultimately leading to her current role as Program Manager. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in developing programs from the ground up, making a lasting impact on the community. Debbie works closely with the community and is one of its greatest advocates. She takes the time to truly listen, understand their needs, and find meaningful ways to help. Her kindness and dedication make a real difference in people’s lives. When asked what advice she would give to someone reading this, she shared: "If you can’t donate financially, donate your time. And remember—just because someone may not look like they are in need doesn’t mean they don’t need help. Suburban poverty is real." We can all learn compassion from Debbie’s perspective. Debbie brings so much to our program, but when asked what she hopes to gain from the Women’s Experience Leadership Program, she shared that she wants to develop practical skills and explore different leadership strategies. Her goal is to approach challenges in new ways and become an even stronger leader. At home, Debbie is happily married with two children and a dog! She loves trying new restaurants, reading, and completing jigsaw puzzles with her family. We are incredibly grateful for Debbie’s leadership, compassion, and commitment to serving others!

Exciting News! Welcome Amy Pfister to the Parker Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors! Amy is a powerhouse in our community, currently serving as the Community Relations Coordinator for the Douglas County School District and previously working with Aging Resources of Douglas County. She has been a dedicated Chamber ambassador for years, and her deep connections and expertise navigating Douglas County will be a huge asset to the Chamber! This week, our Women’s Experience Leadership class came together to make a real difference with Lifeline Christian Mission! In just one session, we packed 845 meals into four boxes—ready to be distributed both locally and globally to those in need. Amazing work, ladies!
