This year for our holiday celebration, our team volunteered at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles to cook meals for community members in need. The experience was incredibly rewarding as we got to spend time together and share our appreciation for one another while preparing meals and giving back to the community. Our team is dedicated to supporting UCLA Anderson’s MBA students, recruiting partners, and the community that surrounds us, and we are grateful to be able to do so. We wish you a happy and safe holiday season! Special shout-outs to Jessica Christopher for bringing this idea to our team and Hannah S. Cowherd for organizing a wonderful picnic for our team to follow the volunteer event.

Earlier this month, we had a great trip to the San Francisco Bay Area for Days on the Job Week to see where our alumni have taken their talents and for them to share their experiences with current UCLA Anderson School of Management MBA students. This trip is possible because of our partnership with AnderTech and their leadership who worked with us this year to plan visits to Adobe, Google, Meta, Uber, Intel Corporation, Gusto, and Dolby Laboratories. Thank you to the club leaders, our wonderful alumni, and the dedicated company representatives who made these happen.

Parker Career Management Center at UCLA Anderson转发了
For UCLA Anderson’s annual “Days on the Job” week, the Video Game Business Association at Anderson arranged seven major company visits and panels this fall in partnership with the Parker Career Management Center Thank you to all of the incredible alumni and industry professionals who shared their time and insights with us about career advice, company cultures, what it means to work in gaming, and the various roles that are central to driving the industry forward. We had the privilege of hearing from Activision Blizzard, Bungie, Riot Games, Twitch, Xbox & Halo Studios, visiting offices for in-person experiences at PlayStation and Electronic Arts (EA), and a small group dinner. VGBA is committed to expanding and deepening relationships with our UCLA Anderson gaming network. DOJ Week has been a great example of the value of having a strong community dedicated to sharing success, and we plan to continue the momentum with additional treks throughout the academic year! Finally, thank you to our VGBA organizing team, AJ Ty, Serena Zhao, and Shannon Brown, and my fellow panel hosts Mandi X., Niclas Assmann, Rex Yi, and Tiffany Tsang.

One of the best parts about Days on the Job (DOJ) week is seeing our amazing alumni and learning about the impactful work they are doing in their lives after Anderson. During our trip to Google in Seattle, we got to catch up with Frank M., Vaibhav Khunger, and Peter Allex. We want to give them a shoutout for taking the time to join us for the visit and sharing their experiences with our students. We’re already looking forward to our trip back to Seattle next year!

Earlier this month, UCLA Anderson MBA students participated in Days on the Job (DOJ) Week and visited companies on both the east and west coasts. Facilitated by student clubs and Parker CMC advisors, this annual program provides students with the opportunity to experience what it is like to work for companies in their industries of interest. Special thanks to the companies that graciously hosted us and our alumni who led the visits. Check out our photos to see some of the companies students visited this year!
