Following a successful trial last year, we are excited to announce the arrival of even more ePowerTrucks on our parks, starting with a delivery at Trecco Bay. Electric vehicles offer numerous benefits over traditional diesel and petrol vehicles as they are more efficient, cleaner, and quieter. Research shows that carbon emissions from electric vehicles are around 30% lower than petrol cars in the UK. Continuing our partnership with ePowerTrucks - Electric Vehicle Specialists, we're reducing our carbon footprint, driving sustainability, and moving closer to a greener future. A couple of weeks ago, we welcomed our newest Holiday Home Sales Advisors and Managers for an immersive 3-day induction at Southview. ?? The programme provided a comprehensive journey, from understanding the customer experience “from sofa to sale” to exploring the psychology behind purchasing decisions. Our new team members gained insights on creating opportunities and delivering exceptional experiences for future holiday home owners. ???? We also focused on the key attributes that drive success in sales - resilience, mindset, and creating meaningful connections. The induction included a full park tour, offering a first-hand experience of what makes Parkdean Resorts so special for our owners and guests. The learning journey continues beyond the induction, with ongoing support through online workshops designed to enhance their skills and drive success. This National Apprenticeship Week, we were invited to the House of Commons to attend the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase 2025. The showcase brings together leading companies from across the hospitality industry to celebrate and highlight the vital role apprentices play in shaping the future of the sector. Over the years, the event has celebrated the talents of over 2000 apprentices, offering them a unique opportunity to meet with MPs, industry leaders and peers. A rising star ? Sam Myhill, Payroll Assistant at our Head Office in Gosforth, is celebrating achieving a distinction grade for her HR Support Level 3 qualification, just in time for National Apprenticeship Week ?? Sam joined us as a HR Support Assistant on an apprenticeship programme in March 2020. Since then, she has continued to upskill, achieving another distinction in 2021 for her Customer Service Practitioner qualification, and has flourished in her career with a series of promotions. ?? Sam said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve received at Parkdean Resorts. Starting as an apprentice, I’ve been encouraged at every step to develop my skills and take on new challenges. Achieving my second distinction is a huge milestone for me, and I’m excited to continue growing with the company." We’re proud to empower our team members in taking the next step in their career.
