The Peachtree is more than a 10K – it's an opportunity to give back. ?? For the 56th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, nine non-profit organizations have been chosen for the Peachtree with a Purpose Official Charity Partner Program and will fundraise for their causes. Each organization will receive a set number of guaranteed entries for the Peachtree, and runners who secure these entries will commit to raising funds in support of their desired non-profit. Four Corners Park is a beloved community asset in Peoplestown yet it’s sorely under-resourced. That’s why Park Pride is proud to have awarded the Friends of the Park group with a significant, vision-advancing grant – the single largest grant in the 2025 Grant Cycle. “[This grant] has a significant impact for us and to know that we have friends like Park Pride, who recognize the work we’ve been doing and our commitment, it’s great,” said Columbus Ward, a lifelong Peoplestown resident who is heavily involved with the Friends of Four Corners Park and Peoplestown Revitalization Corporation. “This is real now.” Click here to read more on SaportaReport about the role the park plays within the community and the impact of the 2025 grant: https://ow.ly/fzph50VkcvI

This morning, we had a fantastic time exploring Constitution Lakes Park, a true hidden gem within the DeKalb Parks system! Guided by the Friends of Constitution Lakes Park and Parks Naturalist Tasha, we strolled through parts of this 200-acre natural haven, taking in its stunning wetlands, scenic walking trails and the iconic Doll’s Head Trail. One of the highlights? A rare chance to spend time with a snoozing Barred Owl! Join us next time on Friday, April 5 at Candler Park for a special edition of our monthly Walk in the Park! That's a wrap on Love Your Park 2025! Hosted in partnership with City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation, Hands On Atlanta and Trees Atlanta, this was the second year of the city-wide volunteer initiative. This February, we had: ?? 35 service projects hosted in Atlanta's parks & greenspaces ?? 818 dedicated volunteers ?? 2,554 hours of elbow grease Talk about impact!
