Just squeaked by ?? The choice between shingle or rubber isn’t just aesthetics. A shingle roof needs a minimum pitch of 3/12”, anything less then that needs a rubber roof. This beautiful new homes front porch just made the grade for shingles. To be 200% sure that this will remain watertight we’re going to be putting a special underlayment under the shingles since it’s exactly a 3/12 pitch & we don’t take any chances with our customers.

Recycling ?? isn’t always good for you Usually when we replace a roof with skylights we don’t reuse the existing skylights. It’s not because we’re trying to make more money off our customers. Skylights in general are very prone to leaking , especially if it’s a recycled one. We definitely don’t want anyone’s roof leaking and when they do, that can easily cost a lot more than the replacement cost of a few skylights which is why we recommend replacing them. That being said for this job we feel confident that we can reuse the skylights without compromising the watertight integrity of the roof. We like some variety We’re inspecting this roof for one of Park Heights Roofing wonderful clients & it’s got a little of everything. Part of the structures roof is TPO & looks like it was done extremely well (& it wasn’t even us ??). Part of it is mod bit & part of it is torch down. Out of the three, TPO is the most popular for a few reasons. Insurance companies hate torch downs ?? ?? for obvious reasons so many roofers try to stay away from it & mod bit doesn’t last as well as TPO. Roofers need to get up early to ?? There’s lots of suppliers we can choose from but we primarily work with Kyle Lindsay from ABC Supply Co. Inc. Over the years they have proved themselves to be reliable & that we can depend on them. I’m sure I can save a few dollars with another supplier but for Park Heights Roofing reliability is extremely important. Our customers depend on us to complete projects in the time frame we promised & in a way that causes the least amount of interference with the residents.
