This year,?450 beneficiaries from eight communities?will be graduating from Parinaam’s?Urban Ultra-Poor Programme, a yearlong programme to empower ultra poor families in achieving financial?stability, good health,?social support, formal education for the children and livelihood security. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast support of?Deutsche Bank, our valued partner, who via its CSR Education programme has been with us every step of the way—from the early stages of implementation to celebrating these incredible achievements. We recently hosted graduation ceremonies for?eight such communities in Bangalore that were supported by Deutsche Bank.?Here are some lovely pictures from the highlight of the event,?our?Wish Tree activity, where beneficiaries get to celebrate and be proud of?their accomplishments?in the last year?and set new goals for the future. While we officially exit communities after empowering them,?we ensure?our connection with these families remains strong. We continue to stand by them, ensuring they have the support they need on their journey ahead. As we strengthen our footing to expand and reach about 35,000 ultra-poor families by 2027, today’s workshop was the culmination of weeks of preparation—setting goals, identifying risks, mapping mitigation plans, and refining our strategy for a smooth execution. A deeply engaging and thought-provoking session, it set the stage for what lies ahead. And in a fitting coincidence, we realised later in the day that today happens to be?World NGO Day—a perfect reminder of why we do what we do!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting the wonderful families from?Rotary Midtown Gen Next, Bangalore?for the inauguration ceremony of a newly renovated?Anganwadi—a project they kindly supported. Previously, the Anganwadi was in a?dilapidated state, leaving new mothers and young children without a safe space for?nutritional support, health guidance, and early learning. Children lacked a conducive environment to gather, study, or receive care while their parents were away at work. Thanks to the?Rotary team’s deep support, this space has now been transformed into a vibrant, nurturing hub benefitting the entire?Lakshmidevi Nagara community. As part of the celebrations, the families enthusiastically participated in a?wall painting session, coming together to paint an entire wall of the Anganwadi. To leave a lasting mark of their support, they also planted?five saplings?in the outdoor area. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the?Rotary team?for resonating deeply with this cause, your contribution will be remembered by the community for years to come!

Today we celebrate the champs we have the privilege to work with—the wonderful, wonderful children part of our Academic Adoption Programme family. We have a little over 1550 children in our pool at the moment across various ages who are sponsored by our kind and generous donors from across the world. We have seen so many of these children grow up, ace at their academics, participate and win exciting championships since the inception of the programme, since someone stepped in to take up their responsibility. Parinaam ensures that donors get a chance to build a direct, meaningful relationship with the beneficiaries they help through the Academic Adoption programme. With just 12,000 INR per year per child, you get to adopt a child’s entire academic journey and ensure they aren’t deprived of a safe childhood and they get to go to school to make a dignified life for themselves. To give you a glimpse of what has been achieved, here are 4 such stories out of thousand such more. One child exiting intergenerational poverty is a whole family seeing light to a brighter future.

We're thrilled to celebrate the completion of our 276th school renovation project at Ambavati Doon Valley Inter College, Dehradun! This new chapter in our Chote Kadam project was made possible by our long-term partner, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. The school, currently a home of learning to 381 students, had certain spaces that hindered a conducive learning environment. By working closely with the school management team, we identified these challenges and carried out cost-effective renovations to create a more comfortable space for learning. The inauguration for the renovated space marked to be a lovely ceremony organised by the school team, with the children delivering some wonderful performances. Celebrations like this remind us why Chote Kadam continues to take big steps toward better education and how sustained and continued efforts always allow for systemic change.
