This past Saturday, CCDI students got an up-close look at the Boeing St. Louis Expansion Program jobsite in Berkeley! With 20 high school and middle school students in attendance, they had the opportunity to learn about this significant project shaping their community. A huge thank you to the PARIC team for hosting and sharing their expertise! Special shoutout to Superintendent Paul J. McKee IV for leading an engaging site tour and to Michael Boschert, Kyle Wortmann, Hayden Schaeffer, and Steven Nguyen for sharing their career journeys. A standout moment? Seeing Ava Harper, PARIC Summer 2024 intern, CCDI graduate, and Build Our Future Scholar who attends SIUE School of Engineering, step up to lead a presentation for the students. Watching her grow into a leadership role and inspire the next generation was a full-circle moment for all of us. Thank you to PARIC for giving Ava the opportunity to intern on this project! The Boeing Expansion, a 1-million+ sq. ft. advanced aerospace manufacturing facility, is a massive investment in our region, and we’re excited to give CCDI students a firsthand look at the careers that will help bring it to life.
