Project SEARCH at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital recently held our Working Interview Day! It was a great opportunity for new applicants to get hands-on experience at different stations, including money management, sorting, cleaning, small talk, taking messages, writing professional emails, and a formal interview. We're excited to welcome new interns into the program and look forward to seeing the skills and enthusiasm they bring. At PAEP, our staff provides on-the-job coaching and training to help employees with disabilities perform their job accurately, efficiently, and safely. We work closely with both the employee and the employer to ensure everything runs smoothly. If there are concerns about performance, our presence is key! Our employment specialists/job coaches help employees acclimate to the work environment, offering guidance to meet production standards and job requirements. Through hard work and growth, Jackson has gained the skills, confidence, and independence to take on this new role. He’ll be handling box making, distributing to departments, and overseeing quality control for nuts, bolts, and screws. ???? After showing incredible dedication and motivation during her internship since September, she’s earned this well-deserved role. ?? Anna will be keeping the preschool toys and sports equipment sanitized, stocking vending machines, and adding the finishing touch to birthday parties with prize-filled water bottles. ?????
