It is with great excitement that the team at Paragonix announces a new organ recovery initiative to establish a cost-effective alternative to traditional private charters. This novel organ preservation and transportation service in collaboration with NORA launched with a milestone donor lung case in which the team at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center electively transported a BAROguard System on a publicly accessible commercial flight. "Now, recovering an organ from across the country can cost the equivalent of traveling to a neighboring state," said Dr. Lisa Anderson, CEO and President at Paragonix.
