To show our appreciation, we treated our team to lunch, bowling, and a special video message thanking each one personally. "Women’s History Month is about celebrating progress, resilience, and the incredible women who inspire us. I’m proud to be part of this journey and to work alongside so many strong, talented women. Starting my adult life maintaining a 4.0 GPA in college, I was determined to build a career I could be proud of. Along the way, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have great personal mentors who have shaped and supported me, helping me navigate challenges and grow stronger as a professional. As a property manager, I’ve faced obstacles, learned valuable lessons, and carved out a path that reflects both my hard work and the guidance I’ve received. Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on these journeys—not just my own, but those of the women who have come before me and those who will come after. Staying Informed & Engaged in Westerville’s Growth Our Sr. Property Manager, Megan Ellingson, recently attended a CREW Columbus - Commercial Real Estate Women event focused on the economic development of Westerville, OH. As someone who manages properties in the area, this session provided valuable insights into the future impacts on her buildings and the broader commercial real estate landscape. The event featured an engaging and passionate presentation by Rachel Ray, who provided a well-spoken and informative update on Westerville’s growth and development plans. As a new member of CREW, Megan is excited to continue attending events that strengthen her knowledge and connections in the industry. At Paradigm Properties of Ohio, we appreciate Megan’s dedication to staying informed on all aspects of the properties she manages. Her commitment to going above and beyond ensures that our clients receive the highest level of expertise and proactive management. Additionally, this event provided a great opportunity for Megan to connect with valuable vendors she partners with at her properties, strengthening those relationships to better serve our tenants and clients. (Fun fact learned from the event: Westerville, OH is the only city in the Columbus Metro that has their own utilities, water and electric. Employee Spotlight: Kyle Sayre At Paradigm Properties, we’re proud to recognize the hard work and dedication of our team members, and today we’re highlighting Kyle Sayre, our Director of Construction and Engineering. Kyle plays a critical role in overseeing construction projects and engineering operations, ensuring that tenant improvements and capital projects are executed seamlessly. But his impact extends far beyond his role—Kyle consistently goes above and beyond, lending a hand to everyone in the office whenever needed. His willingness to step in and help, no matter the task, makes him an invaluable part of our team. Outside of work, Kyle is a dedicated father who spends his weekends doing everything possible with his children. Whether it’s coaching, attending their activities, or just making the most of their time together, family is always his top priority. Our team at Paradigm Properties of Ohio is working alongside Kolbe Construction Services, Inc. to prepare this space for a new client moving in soon. Kolbe Construction, known for their commitment to quality and precision, is leading the transformation of this suite to ensure it meets the client's needs while maintaining top-tier craftsmanship. We’re thrilled to see this project come to life and can’t wait to welcome our newest tenant to their updated space! Stay tuned for more updates as we approach completion. Honoring Black History Month: Pioneers Who Paved the Way At Paradigm Properties of Ohio, we take this month to celebrate the achievements and resilience of Black leaders who have broken barriers and shaped industries—including real estate. One such trailblazer is Bernard Garrett Sr., a visionary entrepreneur who defied segregation-era barriers in the 1950s and 1960s to build a real estate and banking empire. Unable to purchase properties openly due to racial discrimination, Garrett strategically worked with white business partners to acquire banks and real estate holdings that helped provide financial opportunities for Black families. His legacy is a testament to perseverance, innovation, and the pursuit of not just equality, but equity—ensuring that historically underserved communities had access to ownership and financial freedom. At Paradigm, we believe in being proud and loud about the importance of equity and opportunity in real estate and beyond. This Black History Month, we honor the pioneers who have made a lasting impact—not just in February, but every day.
