It was a busy and inspiring week for Panorama employees at the Commission on the Status of Women in New York City. We were thrilled to connect with partners, attend meaningful events, and participate in discussions. Our team connected in person and participated in a wide range of events throughout the week, sharing some of their top highlights: Rebecca Reeve-Bennett attended “Resist, Persist, and Reimagine: The Future of Democracy Exists in Accelerating Women's and Feminist Political Power,” hosted by Colmena Fund. The panel discussion brought together inspiring and motivating women political leaders from around the world, demonstrating that women leaders in the US can look to our sisters around the globe to learn from their resilience in uncertain times. Angelica Serna felt inspired by the sharp focus on advancing adolescent girls’ rights and well-being. Events like UNICEF and Purposeful POWER4Girls launch, featuring girl leaders and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Millie Bobby Brown, and the Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage and Girls First Fund Dear Future Me: A World Where Girls Thrive panel, highlighted the urgency of supporting girls and young women around the world, leaving a sense of optimism that the future belongs to adolescent girls. Jennifer N. Cho was energized to be in community with the leaders and supporters of women’s funds in the Prospira Global Network who are continuing to build and uplift movements and communities in a landscape of shifting resources. We left CSW energized to take action driving change toward a more gender-equal world. #UNWomen #CSW69

During Women's History Month, we must acknowledge the barriers that prevent women from running for office - and winning. At the rate seen over the last century, women would not reach gender parity in elected office until 2138. Sustained support and investment from donors are crucial to dismantling the systemic challenges women leaders face on their journey to public office. The Ascend Fund, powered by Panorama, offers recommendations for funders committed to advancing women’s political leadership in 2025 and beyond. With a unified commitment to women’s political power and dismantling systemic barriers, we can build a future where women’s voices are truly represented at every level of government in the United States. As you might know, 1 in 8 people globally live with a mental health condition, yet mental health remains one of the most neglected areas of public health. In 2024, together with our incredible team, partners, and donors, we worked tirelessly to change that and we’re excited to share our 2024 Impact Report with you.???? Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve achieved: ?? Integrated mental health into climate action because the climate crisis is a mental health crisis too.?? ?? Accelerated suicide decriminalisation in regions like the Caribbean, where it’s still treated as a punishable offence rather than a public health issue.?? ??Embedded mental health care into HIV and TB services ensuring no one is left behind.?? ??Pushed mental health onto global agendas through events like the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health and World Mental Health Day.?? ??Elevated young people’s mental health on political agendas worldwide.?? ??Built a global movement through our Global Mental Health Action Network, empowering advocates to drive change every single day. The work doesn’t stop here. Download our Impact Report now to see how we’re shaping the future of global mental health and share it to help us keep the momentum going: ?? As we celebrate Women's History Month, it's essential to recognize that women’s political representation continues to be unequal. Despite making up more than half of the U.S. population, women held only 32.8% of elected positions in 2024. Women face significant systemic barriers along their journey to elected office, including unequal access to campaign funding, limited political networks, and pervasive gender bias. Although these challenges persist, we know women bring unique perspectives and experiences that are crucial for achieving a more equitable and prosperous society for all. The Ascend Fund, powered by Panorama, is dedicated to dismantling these barriers and ensuring women have a proportional seat at the table. Let’s work together to create inclusive pathways for women in politics, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping a more representative democracy for all. https://lnkd.in/gtX9zGpS
