Over the past decade, The Heights has transformed into one of Houston’s most sought-after neighborhoods, celebrated for its historic charm, vibrant dining scene, nightlife, and extensive walking and biking trails. This area continues to attract a dynamic mix of young professionals and families. Overview: ??34 total apartments in the area ??An estimated 375 - 600 EVs throughout these communities ??This averages out to about 11-17 EVs per property. ??Only 8 #multifamily communities report offering EV charging ??10 new properties (2,468 units) are under construction and expected to deliver by 2026 from players like OHT Partners, LLC, Urban Genesis, Caydon Property, and Alliance Residential Company No new communities added EV charging stations between July 2023 and July 2024, which means The Heights presents a significant competitive opportunity for those who want to stand out with EV charging amenities. Today, just 25% of apartment communities in The Heights may be capturing 100% of the EV market, as EV drivers overwhelmingly prefer to live where charging is convenient and readily available. Explore our latest heat map for Houston's Uptown & Galleria area, a bustling multifamily market with over 24,000 units. This area presents a significant opportunity to stand out with #EVcharging amenities. Our map highlights the concentration of EV-friendly apartments and the year-over-year growth in EV charging stations. Notably, at least two communities (marked with blue pins in the right-side picture) added charging stations between July 2023 and July 2024. Overview: ??97 apartment communities in this area ??Only 16 of them (1 out of every 6) report having EV charging stations ??There are an estimated 1200-1800 EVs throughout these communities ??This averages out to about 12-18 EVs per property. Despite the upscale luxury living options available in the Galleria, the majority (55%) of the buildings were constructed before the 1990s and are older garden-style Class C & D communities.
