Reflecting on last week’s panel at #AdvertisingWeek24 on creating impactful and memorable advertising experiences that bridge entertainment and marketing 🎥 In case you missed the convo, here are some key takeaways: - It’s about relationships, not transactions – genuine partnerships are essential! - Storytelling drives impact and even legacy companies can reinvent the wheel when it comes to engaging advertising. - Talent perspective matters, and Common hit the nail on the head when he highlighted his need to align brand partnerships with personal values. - Trust fuels creativity – when creative teams and talent trust one another, the magic follows. Huge thanks to Advertising Week for a fantastic week of fresh insights and thought-provoking discussions. And a special shoutout to the stellar panel— our very own Andrew Panay, Common, Vinayak Hegde, and our moderator Julia Hood—for sharing their ideas! 🎉 #PanayFilms #AdvertisingWeek24 #CreativeAdvertising

I had the honor of moderating this great panel about tapping the power of Hollywood storytelling and talent to create impactful campaigns. Vinayak Hegde from T-Mobile and Andrew Panay from PANAY FILMS, INC. seem to have a rare kind of partnership, but they shared tangible insights for building trust that can take a brand to new places. Common provided a great perspective on what artists need to do to protect themselves when considering commercial opportunities. He said, among other things, that artists need to know where brands stand on the issues that they care about and that T-Mobile's investment in closing the digital divide was an important part of the relationship. The magic comes from the collaboration - knowing the brand goals, and letting inspiration take the wheel. It was fun to hear about the Super Bowl from their different vantage points - client, filmmaker, and star. Many thanks to Leigh Cashman and Allie Novak for bringing this together.
In addition to Business Insider's curated sessions, our journalists also hit the main stage during Advertising Week New York! Earlier this week, Entertainment Reporter Palmer Haasch sat down with executives from WEBTOON and Wattpad for a Gen Z-focused conversation — and how storytelling, tropes, and fandoms help reach this influential audience. Then, yesterday, Executive Editor Julia Hood led an incredible discussion with Common, Andrew Panay, and T-Mobile's Vinayak Hegde about how the strategic blending of branding and talent is driving the intersection of Hollywood and Madison Ave. Thank you to all of our partners, clients, and attendees for joining us and making this Advertising Week NY one to remember. #AWNewYork24 #AdvertisingWeekNY #AWNY24

We're back in action with Microsoft during the Olympics🤾♀️with our latest ad, "They Say," which follows our Super Bowl ad, "Watch Me." From List23: "Both of the Microsoft ads were created by Panay Films, a production company and creative agency, which helped revive the popularity of the tech giant. Panay stated that viewing the Olympics gives one the confidence to inspire oneself in their own lives." #Olympics2024 #Microsoft #Copilot https://lnkd.in/e_TrX_yx

“Part of watching the Olympics is you feeling empowered to go out and get inspired in your own life...the Olympics have so many different sports and there’s something that you’re going to connect to. Maybe you’re not a basketball fan, maybe you’re not a track and field fan, but you’re going to be a fan most likely of something,” says our CEO, Andrew Panay. Thanks to Marty Swant and Digiday for the great spotlight on our and Microsoft’s "They Say" ad that aired during the opening ceremony as part of the conversation on AI campaigns around major events such as the Olympics 🥇 #AI #Microsoft #Copilot #Olympics2024 https://lnkd.in/ee_uMjCS
