Here's what happened after lunch at the 2024 PanAgora Pharma CX Tech Summit (recap part 2). Playtime. Lee Kim took us through a collective creative session to "Build the Future of CX with Legos". Spontaneous tower building that led into serendipitous story telling. Bonus points for those who "built in" accessibility aids (i.e. ramps, ladders). Data Strategy. Richard Schwartz, MA helped us think about data differently, by helping us understand the benefit of using X's (experience data) and O's (operational data) in strategic CX design. X-data + O-data w/ intent to act -> customer needs ↗? effectiveness & efficiency. Time out. Networking opportunities thanks to Mobile Locker. Field Force Tech Enhancements. Ryan Rosenberg, Glen Morris (Bristol Myers Squibb), and Peter Harbin talked through some really insightful ways the Field can personalize their approach based on HCP preferences, by "using the data you have in interesting ways". Amy Turnquist navigated and guided the panel brilliantly through some deep and complex topics with ease. Digital Accessibility is Critical. Stephen Framil urged us all to remember that Patient CX is about real humans, and many Patients may have comorbidities or disabilities which can make a difficult situation even worse if the digital support program isn't up to WCAG and ADA standards. Tech to Improve. Peter Chiappano, Nick U., and Sherif Salti covered a wide range of topics including the use of AI to personalize at scale, the evolving role of content, and practical optimization strategies. The biggest surprise key to success? Bring comms in early and often. Christine Duborg enabled a masterful conversation that kept the audience fully engaged while energy levels began to run low... Long day, lots of insightful conversations with some amazing Human Intelligence at the PanAgora Pharma CX Tech Summit. I'll Re-cap-it... tomorrow. Thank you Seth Painter Thomas Hanley Doug Lavender and all of you in attendance and following along from the office.

I had a very insightful, fun, and overall amazing day yesterday at PanAgora Pharma Tech CX Summit. I did not count how much we mentioned #AI during the sessions, as we were discussing processes optimization, data validation, and trust. The only time AI was not in the picture and we were actually building something with our hands was during the Serious LEGO Play Workshop. Our team of Doug Lavender Kanchana Subramaniam Gary, and Thomas Hanley presented what great #CX is (and we thought the eyeball cannons are great for precision targeting). Also was great to see Dan Atieh on stage discussing #modularcontent and ways to implement it successfully, of course leveraging the power of AI.

Yesterday’s?7th Annual Pharma CX Tech Summit?in Princeton was a blast—great discussions, great ideas, and a great venue in Princeton! A big thank you to the organizers PanAgora Pharma and my co-panelists, Glen Morris and Ryan Rosenberg, and the team at ODAIA for organizing an impactful conversation on?Using Tech to Enhance Field Force Capabilities. One thing that stuck with me: Glenn’s reminder that if you’re not bringing reps into the process early, your shiny new tools might as well come with a?do-not-use?sticker. It’s all about building with the end-user in mind—simple, obvious, but often overlooked and Ryan hit the mark on aligning digital and rep engagement. If reps and digital channels aren’t working in sync, HCPs notice— and not in a good way. The big takeaway? Technology is only as good as the people using it and the workflows it supports. Whether it’s AI, analytics, or digital engagement, we have to focus on tools that empower reps to make meaningful connections with HCPs. It reminded me of another recent discussion on stage with Carole Foley, who said it best:?"At the end of the day, it’s humans that are using it. You need to not just think about how you’re developing the tool, but how it’s going to be used and implemented.” Would love to hear your thoughts—how are you balancing innovation with practical adoption? What a fun conference that included some LEGO? SERIOUS PLAY , great discussion on customer experience and how tech can help improve ??experiences for both patients ??and HCPs??????. So many good things I heard but so little space. Here are a few: -Ask 2 questions related to tech: 1)Are you building the right thing 2)Are you building that thing right? -Change management is critical, you can never communicate enough while introducing tech into an org -When it comes to metrics, how are we building out an integrated measurement plan first. One metric does not tell the story. (??Speaking of metrics, I think the "AI" word count was up past 100 for the day) -AI needs to be fit for purpose, most AI isn't built for pharma. (Side note, ADVANCE?AI is ??) Thank you PanAgora Pharma for bringing together industry experts for these discussions.
