    Digital marketers: Should you purge old leads or try to nurture them? I see this question on Reddit and have heard it literally for years. Without a doubt, you should nurture those leads. Purging them is tossing opportunity out the window. Timing is Everything in Sales (and therefore marketing) Your old leads got old because their timing wasn’t right. But timing changes eventually… There is so much opportunity in your existing database – leads whose timing will change to your advantage some time in the next 12 months. You damn well want to be there when their timing changes. I don’t care if that lead is 4 years old. If their timing changes 90 days from now, I want them thinking now’s the time to check out Paminga. With Old Leads, Time Is On Your Side If you’ve got 10,000 old leads, how many of them are likely to have their timing change in the next 12 months? Likely a non-trivial number of them. Be there for them. Play the timing game. Retaining existing customers is normally way better than finding new ones. It’s the same with leads. These old leads: you already put in the work to generate them. Loving them is “cheaper” than replacing them. PS: more depth in the video ??
