National Cancer Prevention Month during February is a great opportunity to take control of your health to lower your cancer risk! According to the American Association for Cancer Research, more than 40 percent of two million cancer cases diagnosed in 2023 and half of the 600,000 who died from it can be attributed to preventable causes like smoking, excess body weight, physical inactivity, and excessive sun exposure. Some types of cancer can be prevented or caught in the very early stages by knowing if you have a family history of it and getting screenings as appropriate based on your age, risk level, and other factors. By spreading awareness about cancer screenings, lifestyle changes, and research, we can help prevent cancer diagnoses together! #cancer #cancerprevention #healthylifestyle #worldcancerday
