Our remediation team is busy throughout California, including our recent role in the renovation of administration and staff buildings at August Boeger Middle School in San Jose. Our team put on our safety suits and additional personal protective equipment (PPE) to demo the walls, ceilings, floors, and external facing of the school. With potentially hazardous materials in all these components, GCs need a partner who knows how to handle the immediate abatement of any concerning materials. It is rewarding to participate in the modernization of three elementary schools in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, helping by being a small part of creating an environment more conducive to learning and enrichment for the young students. Our remediation team Professional Asbestos and Lead Services, LLC (PALS) has extensive experience in the safe removal of hazardous materials that often exist in the ceiling tiles, ceramic floor tiles, painted and varnished surface, and insulation. We are adept at the selective demo that enables us to get to these materials, and we follow our safety protocols to contain the materials during the removal process and keep the environment safe. Gymnasiums can be the heart and soul of a high school. Precizion’s remediation team is doing the early work in the Rio Vista HS modernization project, pulling out all the lockers, drywall, doors, plaster, stucco, and flooring to ensure we can abate any hazardous materials that exist in this older building. Feeling accomplished. Precizion did our part in some early demo work with lead GC Thompson Builders Corp on the Watt/I-80 Transit Center Improvement project in Sacramento. Highlights include an open-air stairwell, widening Watt Avenue, and a new bus/pedestrian plaza among other things. Great work by our demo division, W.C. Maloney. Our demo team is finishing up a big project at Sky River Casino, paving the way for their future expansion with a new spa, hotel, gaming space, and an event center. Our hard and soft demo skills were showcased with the dismantling of some exterior walls, signage, steel beams, and sheet rock. As a full-service demo company, we called in our concrete cutting team when needed and supplied high-side disposal bins for the recycling and disposal of materials. Just finished up a rewarding project in support of the Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School’s building remodel. Working with Bana Builders, Inc., Precizion’s remediation division Professional Asbestos and Lead Services, LLC (PALS) focused on the soft demo and remediation needs of the school’s library and other campus buildings. Our team pulled out all the internal walls, carpet, insulation, external stucco, ceiling materials, and roofing materials to lay the groundwork for removing black mastic and asbestos-containing pipe. Many materials in older buildings can be hazardous when disturbed, so our work is critical in the remodeling. Feeling good about getting schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District safer for the students and staff! Soil remediation is as it sounds – removing hazardous materials from the soil surrounding many demolition or renovation projects. It is of critical importance on many project sites. Precizion and our Professional Asbestos and Lead Services, LLC (PALS) division just finished an extensive remediation of lead-impacted soil under a pool deck and tennis courts to help pave the way for a new Alameda High School Swim Center for Alameda Unified School District students and City of Alameda. The hazardous materials were found during the excavation of the new pool site, and we collaborated with the project’s environmental experts to ensure safe removal and disposal of the materials to create a safe environment for the swim center. Improving a library improves a community. We just finished a rewarding project demoing the interior of Yuba County Library, recipient of a $6M grant from the California State Library, to fund new group study rooms, a larger children’s room, and a teen space. Partnering with UNITED BUILDING CONTRACTORS, INC, our job was to demo key materials and lay the groundwork for the renovation. Our team members safely removed all the carpet, bookshelves, ceiling tiles, cabinets, and T-bar from the various rooms throughout the building. Precizion Partner’s concrete saw cutting and drilling team was recently called into action when the Port of Stockton and Vortex Marine Construction, Inc. needed an expert to strategically cut and remove part of the concrete dock. With a beautiful port as a setting, Precizion broke up the top and walls of the concrete dock, wall-sawed vertical cuts at a 20-degree angle in the north dolphin down to the waterline, and drilled a number of pick holes in the concrete. After the careful demolition, we mucked the concrete and ensured no debris fell into the port. We were happy to help keep our hometown port safer and more efficient!
