Loved reading this study from Susanna Loeb and her team at National Student Support Accelerator! I believe AI's greatest promise is enabling person-to-person learning experiences. I'm deeply uninterested in single-player experiences. (It should tell us something that rich parents are keeping their kids off screens, while poor kids are spending more and more of their day behind a screen with headphones on.) However, I do think there's enormous power in leveraging AI to facilitate rigorous, joyful, & culturally responsive learning experiences between people (parent-child, teacher-student, tutor-student, student-student).

We're honored, humbled, and grateful that Paloma was selected as one of three education finalists for Robin Hood's $1M AI Poverty Challenge. Thanks also to the GitLab Foundation and Bezos Family Foundation, partners in this endeavor. In order for AI to close opportunity gaps rather than widen them, we need to ensure tools are developed BY and FOR marginalized populations.
