Creativity and Courage

Today we finalized a fun and creative project begun in October for Delta Systems. As Jamie Doganiero said, "you made our switches look beautiful and creative". To me the product designs are what is creative for this company's high quality goods found in all sorts of vehicles from ATVs to lawn mowers.

With the conference room walls bare it was time for a change. Jamie and Issac Kirbawy set about brain storming on what best to fit the space. In considering what type of art would fit to reflect the identity Delta, they knew structural components and design had to elements. They also liked Black and White Photography.

We met to discuss their project and I suggested photographing the otherwise small products, to appear large and heroic. Jamie and Issac also thought somehow working with the line art of the product designs could be interesting. Like a cook with ingredients but no set recipe, I tested ideas and we landed on multiple exposure imagery of select products merging with design drawings and textured backgrounds... in black and white. My partners brought invaluable suggestions along the way with great art direction. We managed to incorporate an additional goal I had to compose the images for use in marketing materials extending applications beyond just corporate fine art.

After creating the images and obtaining sign off, we had archival exhibition fiber prints made. With approval of prints, I had Frameworks mount with 8 ply white acid free matts in tasteful black wood frames using museum glass. The final presentation is timeless and befitting with Delta Systems.

This project was truly a collaboration between Jamie, Issac and myself. I have to hand it to them for being courageous enough to go on the adventure. Communication is always key when embarking on this type of project, we definitely had emails going back forth especially as they prepared for a trade show and supplied product with line art. Being able to create, deliver and hang these pieces has been an honor, and a lot of fun! Great way to close out 2022. Thank you Delta Systems and have a fantastic 2023!!!
